CDC Says Rapid At-Home Tests are Sufficient for International Flights to the US

AAA World Article

If you are traveling internationally, the CDC just allowed airlines to accept at-home instant supervised COVID-19 tests to satisfy the required negative test result to get back into the US.

These tests must be eMed Certified and they must be performed in front of a tele-health provider, which is part of eMed-certified test kits.

The good news is they are fast, easy and have everything you need to perform your COVID-19 test at-home. You will need online access to register your test and to get your results—which only takes about 15 minutes. Be sure to pack your tests with you in your carry-on and then you can perform the test before going to the airport to return to the US.

And if you are not fully vaccinated, the CDC recommends you not travel internationally at this time. Learn more about this recent change here.
