British Airways Trial Finds Pre-Departure Testing ‘Does Catch COVID’

AAA World Article

COVID-19 testing plays a crucial role in travel and in travelers desire to travel. A recent Oxford study in partnership with American Airlines and British Airways has shown that PCR testing DOES detect the presence of the virus in people who were tested prior to flying.

The study also revealed that people are willing to do a series of tests (prior to going to the airport, once at the airport and 72 hours after arriving at their destination) versus quarantining. Travelers were also open to paying for these tests within a certain cost structure.
