Lyft has offered the ability to earn miles on Delta for taking rides with the service for a while now. Now it’s offering a new travel perk: Hilton Honors rewards points. The program officially kicked off this week.
Once you’ve connected your Hilton Honors and Lyft accounts you’ll earn Hilton Honors rewards points each time you take a ride. When you take a shared Lyft you’ll earn double the points, and economy, luxury, and extra-seat vehicles will score you three times the points per dollar spent. You have to manually connect the two accounts before you’ll start earning.
You’ll earn Hilton Points a little faster than you do Delta miles through the Lyft + Delta partnership. For some perspective, that program offers one mile per dollar spent on Lyft rides and two miles per dollar spent on rides to and from the airport.
Hilton Honors points can be used for things like late checkout or free hotel nights. The program also occasionally offers exclusive tickets that can be purchased using points. For instance, it recently offered customers the opportunity to buy tickets to the Grammys using points.
If you’re a Hilton Honors member and find yourself taking Lyfts, even occasionally, it’s worth connecting the two to score a few extra points.
