On January 1, 2018 the Virgin America Elevate program ended and all Elevate members were automatically issued Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan™ numbers. If not already done so, guests can find their new Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan number and activate it here: www.alaskaair.com/getmore.
Alaska Airlines recently learned of an issue when guests book a flight operated by Virgin America through corporate TMC booking tools. If the guest still has an Elevate number saved in their booking tool profile an error message will appear since Elevate numbers are no longer valid.
Alaska Airlines is working with the GDS systems and other stakeholders to fix this error. In the meantime it is recommended that all travelers delete their Virgin America Elevate number from their travel profile and use their Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan number when flying Virgin America. They also strongly recommended placing the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan number in both the Alaska Airlines and Virgin America frequent flier fields.
More information about the transition and timelines for Virgin America Elevate members over to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan can be found here: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/travel-info/alaska-virgin/flight-plan. This website has current information for frequent flier programs/benefits and is continuously updated.
