Real ID compliant forms of identification will be required at TSA Checkpoints beginning October 2018. TSA acceptable forms of identification are listed on the official website of the Department of Homeland Security’s website.
Please be aware it is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure you are carrying a form of identification that is Real ID compliant. Recently, some states have begun changing their process for Driver’s License issuance. Some are offering both Standard and Compliant cards. Standard cards are not Real ID compliant while Compliant ID’s are acceptable.
If your Driver’s License is your current form of identification when you travel, please verify with your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles that your license is Real ID compliant.
