Chicago O’Hare, Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta, John F. Kennedy in New York, Los Angeles International, and San Francisco International, have all begun, or will start this week, screening for the coronavirus that is believed to have caused the deaths of at least six people and impacted hundreds more in China.
JetBlue was a late adopter of bag fees but is now leading the industry in fee hikes. It was the first to increase fees to $30 per bag in 2018, and has now hiked it to $35. The fee for the second bag rises from $40 to $45.
Global Entry has slowly but surely been getting a technological upgrade that is making the popular travel program even quicker to use at airports. Facial recognition has been added to the Global Entry program at 15 airports in the U.S. and overseas, allowing international travelers to navigate re-entry at a much faster pace.
Going forward, the program will allow an individual Hilton Honors member to earn points from up to four rooms during one stay, versus the prior limit of two rooms. In addition, members will earn points from incidentals on the bill for their stay across all Hilton brands including Hampton Inn, Home2 Suites, and Tru.
United Airlines is updating the way it handles payouts for flight delays. The changes are designed to make it possible for United employees to provide 'personalized' refund options for customers on a real-time basis. United will no longer be 'proactively' providing refunds to customers who are impacted by flights that are delayed less than six hours.
